Your Product
State what the pouch will contain and any characteristics that affect packaging.
Ordering custom printed pouches starts with the product, pouch size, quantity and delivery date. Once those details are confirmed, Polypouch can help define the material, print method and features before quoting, artwork approval and production.
A quote can normally be issued within 24 working hours once all required details are available. Confirm these 4 points first, then add any pouch or print preferences you've already decided.
State what the pouch will contain and any characteristics that affect packaging.
Give the intended product weight or volume for each pouch size.
Split the amount by pouch size and artwork design or SKU.
Give the delivery date and full destination, including the postcode and country.
Follow each step in order. Decisions made early affect the price, artwork template, production timing and how the finished pouch performs.
Record what the pouch will contain, the intended fill weight or volume, approximate order quantity and required delivery date.
Also flag the target shelf life, filling temperature, sealing method, storage conditions and destination market. State whether the product will be frozen, cooked, boiled or microwaved inside the pouch and, if so, provide the process time and temperature.
Confirm the pouch style and dimensions in millimetres as width by height by gusset, then test fill the pouch with the intended product and fill weight.
If you don't have a pouch to test, request up to 5 free stock samples. A stock sample checks fit and handling, but it may not match the final custom material or print.
Send the confirmed requirements through the website form, email enquiries@polypouch.co.uk or call 0203 475 3456.
Include any existing pouch sample, technical requirement or artwork reference that will help the pouch specialist understand the project.
Agree the pouch format, material, barrier, finish, features, print method, quantity for each size and number of artwork designs.
Check the complete pouch specification, quantities, ex VAT prices, separate charges, delivery, estimated lead time, payment terms, validity and production tolerances.
Quotes are normally valid for 30 days unless accepted sooner. Prices are normally in Pounds Sterling, exclude VAT and may exclude delivery, packaging and insurance unless stated otherwise. Changes to the specification, quantity or delivery date, or cost increases outside Polypouch's control, can affect the price before delivery.
Accept the quote in writing, supply the billing and delivery details, provide a purchase order if needed and make the requested payment unless approved credit terms apply.
A quote doesn't reserve production. The order becomes active after Polypouch confirms it and the applicable payment terms are met.
Place the finished artwork on the final Polypouch dieline. Supply each design as a clearly named CMYK PDF with outlined fonts, embedded 300 dpi images, correct bleed and safe areas.
Polypouch doesn't create artwork. The dieline is supplied after order confirmation and may carry an upfront charge that's deducted from the final invoice.
Check every panel, design version, dimension, feature position, barcode and item of copy, then approve the digital proof in writing.
Each design or SKU includes 1 initial digital proof. Further proofs after revised artwork are chargeable. A digital proof doesn't guarantee an exact physical colour or finish match.
Production timing begins after written proof approval, final order details and cleared payment or approved credit arrangements.
Your order confirmation gives the estimated timing. Polypouch confirms release to production, reports material delays and supplies tracking details when available.
Check the shipment condition, quantity, pouch specification, print and workmanship, then report any shortage, damage or suspected fault within 7 days.
Keep the cartons, labels and batch details. Photograph the issue, stop using affected pouches and contact your account manager with the order number.
A sizing sample, digital proof and printed mock up answer different questions. None replaces product compatibility or shelf life testing.
Check approximate size, handling and fill capacity. The sample material may differ from the custom order.
Available for a charge to visualise the design. They don't replace compatibility, seal or shelf life testing.
Technical print checks and product approval aren't the same thing. Keep this split clear before signing off the proof.
Stock and bespoke pouch orders have different permitted quantity tolerances. The final invoice is based on the number produced and supplied.
