Choosing Sachets for Portions, Samples and Retail Display FAQs

Sachets keep individual portions and small product packs compact. Before ordering, check which edge you’ll fill through, how the customer will open the pack and whether it needs to hang on a retail display.

What Does 3 Side Seal Mean?

A 3 side seal sachet arrives with 3 edges sealed and the remaining edge open for filling. After adding your product, you heat seal that opening to complete the pack. The aluminium 3 side seal sachet is an example of this flat type of sachet.

Why Do Some Sachets Have an Open Bottom?

An open bottom gives you a filling point separate from the customer’s opening at the top. On resealable versions, this lets you fill without passing the product through the zip. You’ll then close the bottom with suitable heat sealing equipment before the sachet is sold.

Can Sachets Hang on Shop Display Hooks?

Yes, selected sachets include a Euro hole or slot, a shaped opening for retail display hooks. The foil resealable sachet with Euro hole includes this feature. Check the filled pack’s weight and fit on your intended hook before arranging the display.

Should a Single Portion Sachet Have a Resealable Closure?

If customers will use the entire contents immediately, a sachet without a zip can be sufficient. A resealable version makes more sense when the pack contains several portions or small items customers remove gradually. Base the choice on actual use, rather than assuming every small pack needs a zip.

Will These Sachets Work With My Filling Machine?

That depends on the machine. These stock sachets are supplied as individual packs, so equipment that forms sachets from a continuous roll of film needs a different supply format. Before ordering, contact Polypouch with your machine model, required opening position and sachet dimensions to check compatibility.
