Tea pouches need to protect the character of each blend while making storage and serving practical. These answers cover loose leaves, filled tea bags, matcha and strongly scented infusions.

Can These Pouches Hold Filled Tea Bags as Well as Loose Leaf Tea?

Yes. A resealable pouch can hold a retail quantity of filled tea bags, including pyramid formats. Test the intended count without compressing the bags, and keep strings clear of the sealing area. These are outer storage pes, not filter bags for brewing.

How Can I Pack Whole Leaf Tea Without Breaking the Leaves?

Choose an opening that lets the leaves enter freely, rather than pushing them through a narrow neck. Allow enough space for filling without compacting delicate leaves or flower heads. Trial stock samples through your packing and delivery process, checking the amount of broken leaf afterwards.

Should Matcha Be Packed in a Clear or Opaque Pouch?

An opaque pouch is the better starting point because matcha benefits from protection against light as well as air. Foil pouches provide a light barrier alongside oxygen and moisture protection. Confirm the complete specification against your storage requirements rather than choosing by colour alone.

What Should I Consider When Packing Strongly Scented Tea Blends?

For blends containing peppermint, bergamot or spices, ask about aroma barrier performance as well as moisture protection. Keep different blends separate during filling and seal finished packs promptly.
